Scuba Diving with Sharks in Cape Town South Africa
Time to pucker up and get in the cage, let’s SHARK DIVE
Shark Diving Time
Scuba diving with sharks in Cape Town was phenomenal and all I could imagine. I will warn you that while planning your shark dive to ensure you have multiple days after your diving date in case it gets canceled. They are very strict about not going out if the weather is bad. My dive was rescheduled twice and almost a third time.
After a quick boat ride from Gansbaai Harbour, you reach seal island which is very cool. the entire small island is covered with seals. I see why this is near the famous Shark Alley this area has to be like a buffet for great white sharks. There are so many seals that there is no possible way they could all run away.

The Experience Begins
As the cage lowers into the water the butterflies defiantly start turning in your tummy. I started looking around and wondering if a shark was going to jump out of the water. They did throw some fish out in the water but it wasn’t like jaws with buckets up bloody fish. Once you are in the cage your heart is pounding and your world is ready to be turned upside down. Sharks are not guaranteed because no one really knows where they will be exactly.
However, as you can see in my pictures I was lucky enough to have sharks come and try to get in our cage. Wait, is that lucky? 😆 This experience was amazing and I’m ready to sign up again and go this time in Australia. I don’t want to spoil the excitement you have building up inside too much. Try your best to get to Shark Alley and you may get the experience of a lifetime.

P.S. The sharks do try to get in your cage and it can be super terrifying.
