Travelling Asia can be one of the most rewarding and mind-expanding experiences a Westerner can have. In my experience, Asian people are some of the sweetest, most humble, and welcoming people I have ever met. I have been invited into homes for dinner after knowing someone for minutes. I think it goes without saying that this does not happen everywhere. Learning travel etiquette is a great starting point

Experiencing cultures so different from our own is what makes exploring Asia so amazing. However, cultural differences need to be understood. It is important to be mindful of the way we conduct ourselves, with social customs often being quite different from our own. Furthermore, other cultures may not be keen on pointing out when you are being a jerk. They will allow it because they are nice people.
